Holiday Dice Rules

Holiday Dice is a simple and fun dice game based off of 2 existing dice games, ship captain crew and Bunko. The rules are straightforward:

Objective

The goal of the game is to roll a 6 (ship), a 5 (captain), and a 4 (crew), and then use the remaining two dice to score the highest total for cargo.

Setup

You need five dice
A flat surface for rolling

Partners
You must choose a partner to play with as a team. Please come up with a name for your team. Each round you and your partner will play another team (4 people per table)

Gameplay
1. Decide Turn Order:
Players take turns rolling all five dice.

2. Rolling for Ship, Captain, and Crew:
On each roll, players aim to roll a:
• 6 (the Ship)
• 5 (the Captain)
• 4 (the Crew)
• These must be “secured” as you roll.

3. Securing Dice:
If you roll a 6, 5, or 4 set those dice aside as “secured.”

If you do not roll what you need, you must re-roll all the dice that are not yet secured.

You get up to three rolls per turn to try and secure the Ship, Captain, and Crew.

4. Cargo:
After securing Ship, Captain, and Crew, the remaining two dice represent your cargo.

The total of these two dice becomes your score for the round.

5. Incomplete Rolls:
If you fail to secure Ship, Captain, and Crew in three rolls, your score for that turn is 0.

Scoring

After all players have taken their turn, the player(s) with the highest cargo score wins the round.

• In the event of a tie, the tied players can either roll again or declare a draw, based on house rules.

6. Rounds:

We will pay 6 rounds which will last 10 minutes each . During each round your goal is to take as many turns as you can, and to get as much cargo as you can.

At the end of each round you will submit the total cargo you have won and the total combined cargo of you and your partner.

Move or stay:

After each round, the team with the least amount of cargo will stay the the table they are sitting at. The winners will move to the next table listed on the map based on thier current location.

You will have 5 minutes between each round to move to the next table and to start the next round. Feel free to grab food or drink and go to the bathroom. However, dont dilly dally  or the next round will start late and you will lose time to win more cargo in the next round

Prizes:

Once all 6 rounds have been played, will will tally your shore and offer prizes to the winners of the entire party.

1st Prize – $100 (2 $50 bills)
2nd Prize – $20 gift card (2 of them)
3rd Prize – to be determined

7. Wagering: If you would like to make your rounds more intersting, I will have $1 bills for you to purchase from me. If you so desire you can add add an ante or prize for the winner of earch turn to make it more competitive. You make the rules on how this pays out. Not everyone is expected to pay to play if you decide to up the ante in some way
